One day a king had a palace that had a garden full of monkeys. One day he and his family decided to go swimming in their pond, and the queen left her string of pearls in a box with her servant. As she gave it to the servant, a girl monkey sat in a tree and watched her. The servant watched the pearls for the queen, but she fell asleep and the monkey took the pearls and ran into a tree with them. Soon the servant found out about the missing pearls, and the guards were searching the palace for the pearls. One guard thought about it and realized that a monkey must have taken them because there was a very strong guard at the entrance to the palace. So the man bought glass beads and hung them on the trees. Then he watched them the next morning and found the monkey who had stolen the pearls by knowing why she did not go for glass beds like the rest of them did.
